Under construction

Today is my younger son's birthday.  I'm not seeing him today but tomorrow I'll be visiting him and taking him a cake.  He has very kindly requested a sponge cake with jam which regular visitors to this journal will know is my default production.  

Unusually for me I was at work today and was soaked in the process of getting to and from the office.  The trains were messed up too.  When I got home I made a start on the cake and here's half of it with a few accoutrements.  I just couldn't blip yet another finished article.  

My son doesn't have much of an online presence so I don't think I'll be allowed to blip him tomorrow.  So here's his cake, under construction.  Happy birthday Ed!
