The way home

We made it home today after being trapped in Nelson last night due to snow and ice on the Hope Saddle. This photo is taken from the same place as yesterday's - I just stood across the road.

The trucks have all got through and traffic flow is back to normal.

Yesterday whilst I was staying at my sister's because I couldn't get from Nelson to Murchison, one of her truck drivers was stuck in Murchison waiting to get back to Nelson. So he stayed in the warmth of my house - the reciprocal arrangement worked nicely!
