Matthew Shardlake

When the weather outside is  'orrible, and I'm recovering from the cold, I'm glad that I have recently found Matthew Shardlake - a hunchback lawyer-detective who is in the outer court of Henry VIII.     Author C J Sansom (an Edinburgh lad) tells a good yarn, and captures the mood of that cruel, troubled, and darkly suspicious reign.   Now, I must get on!
