Back on the RN 40 at Punta Loyola

The Ruta 40 was extended on 24 November 2004, to finish in Cabo Vírgenes, where I went last year (see here). Before that it finished at Punta Loyola, where the fresh water meets the sea. The only trace of the old route still visible is this single '40' plate, a little way from the end of the old route. The Jeep, by the way, is not mine but belongs to my friend Emanuel Tiberi who accompanied me as my Jeep Silver (five years older) is some two thousand km away, back in San Martín de los Andes.
