Tektonix go public!

So I have been very busy with my new quartet called Tektonix. Me the lead in the front then left to right is Tricia, Joyce and Madeleine - Tenor - bari - bass. We got together in May, its been difficult to always have time to meet but we have persevered and entered a local music festival.
We were due to sing in public before hand but Madeleine had a full on congested cold so could barely speak! So Saturday dawned our first competition and singout in public all at once!
We were nervous but were singing with Chorus beforehand so we were well warmed up. We were on fiurst thankfully so were not sitting around too long.
I introduced us, the audience were all competing or supporting other quartets so were very supportive, in Barbershop everyone always encourages others its such a fab hobby.
So we sang, it was hard but we did it and scored a massive 87/Distinction with the comment from the adjudicator saying wow what an introduction to your singing career! We came 3rd! I was so excited I cheered lol
Onwards now - new songs and more competition and hopefully some coaching too
