Wet
After rain all day and with too much wind to run in the hills, I had to make do with a late afternoon blast round the Estate. It was too wet to get muddy, with the tracks being puddles on the flat and streams on the the slopes. That said, once soaked, there's a cathartic, childish thrill of running in these conditions, particularly without a head torch in the darker bits of the woods. There's also a satisfaction that, with a pair of Mudclaws on your feet, you can be confident of keeping your footing.
