School Lunch

In a week when the news of the amazing Martha Payne and her neverseconds blog about school dinners was everywhere, I took the little one for his trial school lunch.

It is a nice idea, the children who are moving up to Primary 1 in the new school term get a chance to come into school on a normal lunch time and experience queuing up, choosing food (quickly!), carrying a tray carefully back to a table and eating in a noisy dinner hall, all with the security of their parent by their side.

The little one chose fish, chips and baked beans with a side serving of cucumber and melon for desert, so going with the flow I just had the same.

Rather nice it was too.
