The 'East Stand' at The Boleyn Ground
West Ham United moved into the Boleyn Ground in 1904, and this is our final season there before our move to The Olympic Stadium in 2016.
Pictured is the 'The East Stand', the oldest remaining stand at the Boleyn Ground, which was opened in January 1969.
The Boleyn Ground underwent extensive redevelopment in the 1990's.
In 1993 a new South stand was opened and named The 'Bobby Moore' stand..
2 years later the new North stand was opened and named 'The Centenary stand' and then subsequently renamed 'The Trevor Brooking stand' .
The last and largest of the Boleyn stands to be replaced was the West Stand which was opened by HM THe Queen in 2001.
So, pictured, the East Stand is the oldest part of The Boleyn Ground and was where I sat for 4 years when I first started getting a season ticket over West Ham.
It's also the stand where my Dad had a season ticket for many years.
On match days it is not unusual to see people looking out of the windows on the flats behind watching the match (or as much of it as they can see).
Today's photo caught a pretty impressive late afternoon skyline
