God hell of....
.....Fire.
Another day spent at the house and quite a lot done. Tony (Claire's dad) was there to help and managed to prepare the surround of the front window ready for us to install the internal lintel tomorrow. There are so many loose bricks surrounding the window and many did fall from the room above. I can't wait to get the big concrete support in so we can rebuild the brickwork up. Tony also sorted the many many exposed wires in the ceiling in the dining room.
Claire did a great bit of destruction today in the hallway after we decided the plaster on the walls in there needed to be sorted so she removed all of that from skirting board to ceiling.
I cut a load of bricks to finish the half brick line above the two lintels upstairs, I managed to complete the one room too in brick laying. I also dug out the drains to see what there condition was like, very happy to find they had recently been renewed which was good :)
We are in a smoke free zone, but as it's bonfire weekend we made the most of burning lots and lots of wood.
