A change in the weather....

... from a week of mists, fog and higher than normal temperatures; we woke to torrential rain and the discovery that our car had been parked outside all night with its driver's door window wide open. 

The rain eventually gave way to little bursts of sunshine, including this mid-afternoon rainbow heralding more rain..

The weather eventually persuaded us not to walk to town for the firework display this evening.
