Day 1021- Who Would Have Thought...

...that this sunflower would actually flower...

It's tiny!  Dale planted this a good couple of months ago and I did not expect it to grow let alone flower.

Slept in this morning - forgot to set my alarm!  I woke up at 6.58am, showered very quickly, dried my hair, dressed, grabbed a few things for breakfast and was out the door by 7.21am!  Has to be a new record for me!!!  I normally get up at 6.15am and leave the house about 7.15am - and that usually feels rushed!  I feel like I have been chasing my tail all day...

Walked with Aonghus in the woods and while I was waiting in there for a friend, someone started letting of fireworks in their garden so I had to start walking without her as Aonghus was terrified.  Turned out to be a traumatic walk for both of us as the fireworks continued...

I ended up cutting the walk very short when Aonghus started walking to heel and almost tripping me up, then he would find tree stumps and try to hide, then at the wee burn he stopped walking completely and when I went back to get him, he started to squeeze himself into the hole under the tree roots that cross the burn.  I couldn't entice him out so I had to step in the water and drag him out!

15 minutes and one soggy foot later we were home and snuggling on the couch but he was constantly on alert!  

He's not normally that bad but we were only about 100 yards from the ones that were being let off in someones garden - I felt so guilty!!!
