Nearly here

23 years ago tonight I was in the last stages of a 36 hour labour. At 3.53am tomorrow morning my beautiful baby would be in my arms and my heart would be full of a new love.

How little we know when we embark on the journey into parenthood! All is so focused on the labour but it is the days, months and years that follow where all the hard work and wonderful moments are. The love of being a parent and raising a child into adulthood is the hardest, most rewarding, glorious experience.

Love you Kariba and so very proud of the amazing young woman you are.  Mum xxx
