Could it be Love?

Today was a wonderful day - even harder to choose a photo, so will begin with vineyard in the sunshine - yes, sunshine! Has made all the difference - plus feeling a lot better.

Speaking of vineyards, just had more than my fair share of a delicious jug of house white - to save the driver, ha! - in a simple roadside restaurant in Ciborro, on our way to some random farm for the night. Simple, but the food - cooked by the owner's wife - just superb. Anyway, internet here good, so quickly doing blip in case not so good at the farm.

The two extras: the day was so warm and sunny, we hired a canoe on the Alqueva Reservoir (largest in Europe, I think) and paddled to an island, where we had a picnic, and I had a swim - impossible to believe after the weather the last few days. It wasn't even cold. The glasses are in a restaurant above the lake that reminds me of something in a James Bond film - total luxury in the middle of nowhere - but also to remember how stunning it was to watch the sun set and colour the lake in purples and pinks; oranges and yellows.

Maybe I could love this place after all...
