Life from city to village

Leftover Day

Okay, confession time. My Halloween decorations are still up - because I've been busy all week, and so have the kids.

I didn't really have time for interesting photography today, and it was pouring with rain most of the time. Even the traffic was light - so I didn't even get any, "stuck in a traffic jam" photos.

So, here is one of our Halloween decorations, with the two roses I picked earlier in the week, which are now, clearly, past their best and looking sad. It is a reflection on the passage of time. Nothing is permanent, things change, and we move on. The point is to enjoy what we have, to be grateful for our time and our moment. We can all do amazing things, if we let ourselves have a chance.

If is of course, Flower Friday. But none of the flowers in my garden are currently in bloom (although a few are in bud and should be out next week....)
