Escape

I was last in Skegness when I was a young child and we went on holiday to Butlins (still going strong – we passed it today as cars were flooding in). I was so young I don’t remember a thing about it, which is perhaps as well since it is significant that we never went again!
   
Why are we in Skegness today? I quite honestly have no idea! At least we escaped the funfairs and bingo halls for a while and walked by the sea at Gibraltar Point. We saw lots of geese fly over.

The first Butlins holiday camp was opened in Skegness in 1936. We weren't there then!!
