Oystercatchers .......

........ or at least the ones in the air are.  The others are either Redshanks or Greenshanks, they were too far away to identify easily (and waders all look the same to me!).

Took a trip over to the Wirral Country Park this morning.  Unfortunately it was a very low tide so although there were loads of birds about they were too far out to get any good photos of them.

I'll have to remember to check the tide timetable before my next visit.
