Hawkshead Youth Hostel

The Lake District is very pretty but very soggy!  We are here for the weekend to take part in two orienteering events and I am thinking we will spend most of it wet!  We are staying in a B&B in Hawkshead but stopped off at the Youth Hostel en route so that Tony could check out the orienteering map of their grounds in readiness for the Juniors weekend in a couple of weeks' time.  Each year the Hostel managers are extending their facilities and this year an area of overgrown garden has been cleared to make a camping field so that now needs to go on the map.  I thought the autumn colours on this lane leading up to the back of the Youth Hostel looked pretty even in the rain.
