Turkey Tails

I have a love hate relationship with fungus - it can be beautiful, as with these turkey tails, mysterious (popping up out of nowhere and disappearing just as quickly) and deadly (toadstools!!!). It is death and decay, but it is also a prelude to life and rebirth.

But I digress. We dressed up in our Halloween costumes tonight (our only costumes and they are getting a bit tired) - pilot and copilot - I have a magnificent blonde wig and Mr L has a ridiculous toupee. (Sometimes we switch.) So we went to our favorite bar, as we do every Friday, but alas! We were the only couple in costume. Got a few laughs, but the real party's tomorrow night (who'd have guessed?). Ah well.
