Battened Down

So much is hard to imagine. It's hard to imagine that winter is on its way, the days are so sunny and mild. When you start a walk, it's hard to imagine your  backpack will feel so heavy at the end. When you're young, it's hard to imagine that you will get old. But winter will come,  and fatigue and old age. So we shall batten down the hatches and hope for smooth sailing.

I confess to using an image that I shot yesterday. But by my rules, the picture is completed with the processing. And that was today. I really didn't want to post a desperation shot.
