It is Friday

Last night a new combination of talented players - the Matt Cowe Groove HQ.  Lots of kit arrived but until 10 mins before they started there were only 3 of us as an audience!  We need not have worried as we soon had a full house
This is Matt Cowe himself on the left alongside the lovely Julie Rogerson on sax.  Yes that was the sketch I had done of her in June 2011, and it was great to see her again and in great form on that sax.

And there are more - Steve Wildgoose on bass, Mike Kidson on drums, Alan Beecham on keyboards and another new guy, Dan Fox on congos.

And for me a most enjoyable night of sketching attempting to capture the different moods of Matt an Julie - Matt seemed in another world of his guitar and Julie digging in to her sax solos and clearly having a good time - I felt that there was nowhere elae she would like to be other than there with her sax and a beaming smile

Well it had been a long day - a presentation at a conference in Barrow and the birth of our new grand-daughter, Tessa.

And I got another raffle Toblerone to add to my collection!
