Thursday

What a day!  The friendship saga continues.  Sammy came home from school sad again.  More tears and hugs.  More listening was needed.  We told her that she needs to confront her friend.  That she should tell her how she feels.  Better do it now when it's fresh.  

And she did that in the afternoon.  She said that she feels like she's doing more for their friendship than her friend.  That they are not so close anymore as they used to be and that it's perhaps better to end it.  With tears in her eyes and tears in her friend's eyes....she walked away.

Shortly after I received a call from her friend's mom and I was relieved.  We decided to help our girls.  Both were crying in their rooms and we couldn't look at it anymore.

We agreed that both would write how they feel about the whole situation and that they would discuss it tomorrow sometime in school.  We offered to also meet after school tomorrow all 4 of us if they wanted to.

The chips that I blipped today are not for ........ gambling, but for the rides that are in the city.  The fall fair is in town.  We noticed that two of them had to be used today so we met my husband after work in the city and had some fun.  While sitting in one of them, Sammy told me that she hopes she can work it out tomorrow with her best friend.  I am keeping my fingers crossed!
