Galle

Turned out to be incredibly European. We stayed in another amazing friendly homestay run by a young couple. Staying in someone's house is always interesting but I could have done without seeing granddad naked one morning! Beautiful town, great people watching and lots of buying ceremonial masks.

I think we both found it very comforting sitting in places that felt like they could have been in Europe. Which is strange really, as if you ask me why I love travelling then the fact that the world is so vast and full of such variety is one of the big factors. I also would never say that I've ever considered British architecture to be part of my feeling of home, but Galle proved me wrong.
