Jacaranda season
Have just leaned over our back veranda to capture this. Am still in search of the definitive jacaranda pic. Essentials are - no cars, no trash bins, and must be a carpet of fallen blossoms underneath. In the Queensland Art Gallery there's a famous 19th century painting of a couple having tea under a jacaranda. Every year the staff bring it up from the vaults, hang it and scatter blossoms under it. A nice touch of whimsy I think.
This has been cropped and given a quick dreamy treatment. But the colour is totally authentic as it's a cloudy day.
