Give Up

After all my enthusing over the autumnal beauty encompassed in the shades and hues of trees at this time of year, I give up.
Each day I have been painstakingly clearing the front steps and drive of falling leaves, but I think this morning, the lofty oak trees in our and neighbouring gardens, finally got the better of me. I just could not summon up the enthusiasm to go out at tackle them once again, knowing full well that with the prospect of rain and wind overnight, I am going to be faced with a double dose tomorrow.
Take note. This year I have definitely given up on trying to beat the falling leaves!
