riverside walk

A wet day was forecast so I took the dry option of the gym this morning. After that I thought it would be a good idea to park in Elterwater and walk along the riverside footpath trying to catch some unsuspecting hikers from behind. I wasn't dressed for the weather as well as the couple here but got my photo.  

The afternoon has been spent making mince pies. When I was cleaning/clearing the kitchen cupboards a few day ago I came across two jars of mincemeat, one well past it’s best before date (it was still ok).  Three dozen (minus one) now cooling on the kitchen table.
