Web hub to help people ‘Stay Well This Winter'

To help people in East Leicestershire and Rutland stay well this winter, the CCG has pulled together key information, advice and essential contacts into one web-based hub. It also provides links to further information from www.nhs.uk/staywell.

The message from the NHS across England this winter is simple – stay well
Winter conditions can be seriously bad for our health, especially for people aged 65 or over, and people with long-term conditions
The local NHS is there to help protect you and those you care for

Among the resources currently on the website is information about how you can protect you and your loved ones by getting the flu vaccination – the free nasal spray vaccine will be available to all primary school-age children and the free flu jab is being offered to those at risk, including; pregnant women, people aged 65 or over, people under 65 with long-term conditions and carers.

As well as the information about who is eligible for the flu vaccination and why it is important to get vaccinated, the CCG has also added links and information about the NHS services available and when it is appropriate to use them and how you can look after yourself and your family, friends and neighbours this winter.
