Sculpture

If you were wondering what this was you could join the club. I have been passing this sculpture on the entry to Wellington for many years and just couldn't work it out. Today we stopped and had a close look and we were surprised at the concept and detail. Fran Ferguson put this together from the remnants of the bridge that fell down somenyears before and it represents a seed pod. There are a whole lot of sections done by local groups and it really had a lovely story to tell.

We spent the day at Mums place. She is now in palliative care mode and we are trying to keep her as comfortable as possible. She seemed to know us this morning but tonight I am not sure if she is conscious. She has gone downhill so fast since I was here last week. I have my two sisters and brother here and daughter so it's really good to have the support of the others.

My sister is holding her first art exhibition which just happened to open this weekend ...what a roller coaster for her going from the excitement of the exhibition to seeing Mum looking so unwell. My daughter started her new job this week so she is also going through a lot of personal change. My other sister isbi is just back from her trip to the US and has been here ever since....lucky I am just on holidays.....
We are staying at my Aunts place, she is in hospital as she had a fall at 91 and has a broken arm. What a family!
