Hiking with Maggy

Decided to hike before work today and tackled the stairs (some here in Dbay call them the "Stairway to Heaven"),  a 700 meter steep climb leading to a lovely outlook.  

Then we scaled down more steep stairs to meander over to the rock pools where my dog happily cooled off and stalked fish.  

I got lots of shots (some that would have been breathtaking if the air was a little better here today) - but I just love Maggy's face here as she looks out over the ocean and Discovery Bay.

I turned out to be a  hot morning... Had my heart rate monitor on which said I burned over 900 calories in 2 hours (the climb didn't feel heavenly at the time needless to say - but it was beautiful at the top!).
