A Summer Sunrise

Sometimes, like yesterday and today, when we get a photograph of a sunrise, or some other natural phenomenon we're tempted to tweak it. To lighten or darken it; to add contrast or saturation.

I played with some of those things these last two days and in each case went back to the originals. In fact, the ones I selected were the first snap of the day.

Most of the time you don't have to do anything but trust your instincts, your eye and your camera.

I'm beginning to do that more and more, and I think when you feel you can trust yourself that way a little more often, it becomes a lot more enjoyable and a lot less like work.
