Poppyfield

The most spectacular poppy field I've seen this year struck me as I was driving over a hill between Tamworth and Lichfield.

I decided to stop and see if I could do it justice but as I got nearer to it, the hedges got bigger and it was invisible. I pulled over and walked towards it, but I'm far too small to have any chance.

Two friendly ladies were walking along and suggested the path might get higher as I walked along a bit. They were ahead of me and called me over when they found a gap in the hedge. The long grass was well trodden in a path through the middle (blippers perhaps ?) so I made my way almost to the edge of these wonderful blooms.

This doesn't even begin to give an idea of the size
