London meetings

Today I spent five hours travelling for just three hours of meetings. It took seven train journeys, five of which were on the underground, two car journeys and 3.5 miles of walking to transport me from home to London and back again.

First meeting took place at the World Travel Market trade show at ExCel in London's Docklands. Last time I was there I was swimming in the Royal Victoria Dock as part of the London Triathlon!

My second meeting was at Pennethorne's Cafe Bar at Somerset House where I have a big client event next week. I met there with one of the band members from Stringfever who will be providing entertainment for my event.

Stringfever came highly recommended by John Rigby musical director from the world of theatre who also happens to conduct the Leeds Castle Classical Concert each year (where I met him). I trust his taste entirely and have no doubt they will wow the guests with their unique style and funky flair. Check out their videos on the website link if you're into music.

I captured this photograph of the city skyline midway across Waterloo Bridge today. The landscape seems to be changing all the time and whilst I prefer the countryside I always find plenty to see when in the big city.
