Along the River

It's been another damp and misty day, although that doesn't really show in my blip;  I love this time of year and it always brings the paintings of Atikinson Grimshaw to mind;  sometimes if you're lucky that same mood can be captured in a photo.

We've been out to lunch today so I won't be doing much in the way of cooking this evening.  A good friend went shooting at the weekend and he's brought us some pheasant back which I'll cook later in the week, it's  real comfort food and we always appreciate it at this time of year.

We're going to stay warm the rest of the day and I might just start to think about Christmas;  I was chatting to someone this morning who has written all her cards and wrapped all her presents too, luckily as time has gone on my shopping list has got smaller, so fortunately I don't have a huge list to get through.
