Wawel Royal Castle and the River Vistula

This is how I want to remember Kraków. The below freezing nights and the early morning mists along the towpath. Breakfast (fabulous bread and great coffee) and then a walk, sharing the magic with photographers, joggers and commuters.

Auschwitz was hard and memorable. I'm glad I went. I managed most of it, but for family reasons, I lost it when we walked round the area which had been the concentration camp rather than the death camp.

We're flying home today. Time, though, to visit Leonardo' "Lady with the Ermine" and enjoy some more pierogi.
