Ok not realty but it sure seemed like it when they swarmed overhead a few times. It seems they found a great food source with clean water near by.
Those golden brown hills are walnut shells. They will recycled into biomass for a farm near by. 1.6 million pounds of walnut shells into enough fuel to power the farm for a year—that's 840,000 KwH annually, with 100 percent of heat produced going into drying nuts in the fall and heating buildings in the winter.
There were a dozen kinds of birds flocking together in this swarm. In the extra is one of them.
Should be an interesting week for me. With the new truck they want to put miles on it but the night crew has to make sure all load are covered for morning. So because of this morning I won't be able to deliver the next load on time. Tonight they are trying to figure out how far I will take the load or if they can find someone else for it. Until then.....
