A happy nuthatch
Here we are on the third day of November enjoying weather that feels more like summer with a high temperature approaching 80 degrees Fahrenheit. There was hardly a parking space to be found when I got to the park. An hour or two later when Bob took Gulliver to the park for his walk, the crowd had not abated even a little bit. Weather like this is an anomaly in northeast Ohio at this late date, and everyone is basking in its rarity!
I went to the park intending to hunt down a few bird blips, and I was delighted with the outcome. The white breasted nuthatch was willing to pose (for peanuts). The extra pictures are another of the nuthatch and a female cardinal. The warm glow is caused by the late afternoon sun lighting a field of golden (fall colored) grasses behind the birds.
An update for my Blip friends:
I have been a very poor blipper lately. So poor that Kendall wrote yesterday that she thought I had quit blipping and was happy to see me still here. I haven't left and never had any intentions in that direction. I'm just trying to find the balance between nurturing my blog and my blip journal. For several months, the blog, being new, has demanded a lot of attention. Cross your fingers that I will find the balance. Blip and Blippers are very important to me. I don't want to lose the special connections I've made here, and I will keep trying to find that balance. Thank you, Kendall, for reminding me of how important that is.
