Sons and Udders (apologies to David Herbert...)
This bull calf was born at around 6am; the cow dropped him in the wet grass of the field adjacent to our place and went off to graze. No fuss, no help required. She had still to fully shed the afterbirth when I took this shot.
Her deep, resonant moos alarmed the puppy - she ran back in the house with her tail between her legs - daft dog!
