Tractor Tuesday...
A sunny start today. Brought my spring calvers in to give the calves their first pneumonia vaccine jag. They will get the 2nd one when we house them in about 3 weeks. The calves were quite dour to go up the race as they are too quiet !
Another potential buyer ,from Aberdeenshire, came to look the store bullocks and heifers before lunch time. Eventually a price was fixed, hands shaken, and 45 cattle will be heading up the road next week.
The Angus bull we bought at Duns last month was delivered this afternoon,so fingers crossed he will work OK.
The loader tractor snapped a ball joint on the steering while emptying pallets of feed. The picture shows it looking slightly knock kneed. Managed to find an old one to get mobile again. In the extra photo the 2 parts should be joined.
The fog came rolling in around 3pm just as a lorry load of roof sheets arrived. The 3rd photo shows the Moffat Mounty fork lift he used to empty them. This 3 wheeler fits onto the back of the artic trailer for transport,a handy wee machine.
