A Great Northern Diver

A grey day for which colour photography was not needed. It almost felt as if it never really got light today but this diver enlightened Stinky Bay.
It certainly lived up to its name and I have several photos of a blank sea or the tail of a disappearing bird. Eventually however it gave itself up in this shot.
I even uploaded a second shot for the first time using the Extra Photos facility. Do click on it, it is not a blank grey screen as the thumbnail might lead you to expect!

A postscript.
We decided for the first time for ages to have a Chinese take away tonight from the cunningly named "The Chinese Take Away" - no fancy  Jade Fountain or Golden Dragon here as there is no other option - and found that is was shut. What is the world coming to.
All very inscrutable.
