Summer waves goodbye

This tree is at the top of Le Val des Terre in Guernsey. (steep hill up from St Peter Port on the East Coast. It has a view of the Little Russell and watches the rising sun in the morning and then the sun sets across its branches in the afternoon. The sun was beginning to dip when we came past this afternoon and we saw the leaves falling to join the carpet already around its roots.  It seems like the summer is giving a last wave goodbye.
