Day at a Time

Mycological hot cross bun

The Autumn has been excellent for fungi. I'm not very keen on them when they spring up all over the garden but this specimen was by the river when I took the dog for a lunchtime stroll. I've no idea what it is and I don't think I've seen one like it before.

It's a still and very misty day. I drove through to Alloa to visit my auntie who lives in a care home there. Luckily everyone was driving very slowly and carefully through the thick fog. I don't think it's going to lift today. not really a day for being outside but the race to sweep up leaves and generally tidy the garden before the brown bin uplift stops for the winter is on so I spent an hour raking, sweeping and filling bins. Quite enjoyable really.
