Get your own!

My best beloved and I decided to take the dog a walk. Prompted by a power blackout which made watching the Test Match on TV impossible.

Work is progressing to submerge some of our lovely fields under concrete.
As is usual, certainly in these parts, the archaeologists come and poke about for a bit, before the site is lost under bricks and tarmac forever. I am well informed by MBB that they hardly ever turn over a site  in East Anglia without finding a saxon village or a burial mound or something.

So we came across this van, three geezers rubbing their chins, near a huge trench. Suffolk Archaeology? Do they know we are in Norfolk? Are they poaching, in broad daylight? Actually, it was a bit misty and grey, maybe they thought no-one would notice.

Anyway, we trudged around our circuit, past dark hamlets, bemoaning the fact that we couldn't have a cuppa when we got home.
