Still Life

After the romp around the highways and byways of Burray on Monday, while we were waiting for the car to be MOT-ed, Ollie was limping a bit. By the evening he was completely lame. He wouldn't put any weight on his right front paw and was hopping around carrying it and looking pretty sorry for himself. I did wonder if we would have to carry him upstairs at bed time, but he made a valiant, if stumbling, effort and managed to get up them himself. Coming down was obviously very painful, so much so he didn't bother going downstairs until the morning.

About three years ago Ollie got his paw run over and I think the increased exercise over the past couple of weeks has aggravated the injury. I've been doing a bit of bike riding too, and he's been running along side, on the road, which wouldn't have helped either!

This morning, first thing, we were off to the vet, who advised rest and painkillers. So, we are both looking forward to putting our feet up and having a nice restful time, with just a bit of gardening, housework, cooking, ironing and cleaning to keep us from getting too bored! Oh, and a bit of sitting in the sun with my knitting too! Lovely today, hot and sunny, perfect!

Broadband off all evening - very frustrating. The second time this has happened in as many weeks. Grrr!
