Boring photo Good story
Last night I was at the O2 arena to see Leonard Cohen, see yesterdays blip. Tickets were expensive so I ended up two rows from the roof, Oxygen supplied on request.
Guided towards my seat by the staff I was directed to a specific individual. He was large, not fat and he looked American (don't know why but he did). I offered him my ticket to inspect, he offered to swap it for another one. Would I like to stay up here in the clouds or would I like to sit on ground level, block A four rows from the front (So close if the band sweats you will get wet - what a salesman). I thought about it but not for long Block A1 Row D seat 12
The seat was superb, the concert was brilliant, the man looks old, he has lost a lot of weight but the still holds an audience effortlessly. His hat was raised in greeting when he can on stage, raised again to thank each musician after an individual effort and to the audience to acknowledge our applause. His words are delivered slowly, clearly and devastatingly. Several ladies were in tears at various points. The individual musicians and singers were all given chances to show their talents, a Spanish guy on various guitar type instruments was excellent.
Leonard Cohens music is uplifting not sad or depressing. His live performances riveting
I feel privileged to have seen this man.
