Lowly Lamium..........................

otherwise known as Dead Nettle. Many people pass this by without a second glance - which is a shame. The colour of the flowers is rich, the leaves green and a true silver, is very useful for spreading over banks and growing where little else will, acting as a supressor of weeds, has a long flowering season and is loved by bees. If it is a little too enthusiastic, give it a severe haircut - will be all the better for it.
