Gitama's World

A Very BIG Day

SH and I took off as early as we could yesterday and headed for the Numinbah Valley.........the day was gorgeous.....we fitted so many things in by the time we got home I was just too knackered to post. From the Valley we headed up the Mountain to Springbrook for a bit of lunch and a visit to the Best of All Lookouts .....passing the ancient Arctic Beech trees to arrive at the most amazing view. I have blipped this before but never a pano...on the  far right you have Wollumbin and Sphinx rock and the  far Left Tweed Heads.....which is just about where we drove to next to visit Ma and Pa.
Fingal Head was next on our list (extras) which as always was just so delightful...I really think that is my favorite lighthouse.
the thing that marred the visit was the amount of police and sea rescue...looking for a young boy who had threatened to take his life. I must admit I kept my eyes out  looking for him or hoping that he would found.
By the time we left the police and rescue seemed to of given up an were winding their way back to the car park. I thought of him last night .........that young boy out there in the dark cold wind and rain and then tried to imagine him home safe and sound...and dare I dream....happy.
