The Day After

Yesterday's storm was, apparently, the worst anyone who lives here can remember. The seas came in over the beach and up the gardens of the houses in phase 2, but I don't think went inside.

Everywhere along the beach is littered with debris and sadly a dolphin was a victim of the ferocity too.

The extra images show some of the smaller waves that swamped the chiringuito in the afternoon and had everybody scurrying for shelter on higher ground.

Today has been calm and mostly sunny and the seas have returned to near-normal. 

So half term is over and it's back to business tomorrow.
