Port Sunlight

Visited Port Sunlight - the idea of philanthropist Lord Lever of Sunlight Soap fame - now a conservation area - approximately 900 houses - designed by 30 different architects - leading to a great mix of architectural styles - set in 130 acres of landscaped park land - this being the view of the cenotaph taken from one of the formal drives - this morning

Spent time in the afternoon walking around Arrowe Country Park - good to get the boots on at last - it's not unlike St Ives - has a golf course - lake - plenty of footpaths - we decided against the 16 mile walk - a play area - and a care home

Hope we get sunlight tomorrow
