Faces of Fiona #64
Seattle is outdoing itself. Another rainy day in June (twice the "normal" rainfall so far this month.) so we headed to the Aquarium with Fiona (and Tatum who is out of school) on our tuesday. I didn't like any of the photos actually (too dark, too grainy, too blurry, too dull) but this one kind of sums up the day. It's barely dripping right at this minute. Fiona was all over the place; she wanted to walk out this ramp in the worst way (and off the end into Puget Sound.?) but Boppa pointed out the lock on the gate so she was not happy. We did learn lots about the fur seals and later, Tatum and I made an excellent book called "Fur Seal Escape" while Fiona did NOT nap. She loves to play in the car --straps herself into the driver's seat and pushes all buttons--we have to start 30 min early to go anywhere... patience, patience.....:-)
Enjoyed seeing the baby sea otter who is almost as big as mom, and we also learned a lot about common murres and the shape of their eggs (with a point so they won't roll off the cliff ledges....)
Have to get ready to fly to Durango ,Colorado tomorrow - no, not to flight wild fires, but a family visit (everyone except Fiona and her Mom)with H's brother and sister-in law. for 8 days and a taste of the SW and HEAT.(right now that sounds OK!) Hoping we can get to Mesa Verde. (there is a big fire between Durango and Mesa Verde.) Will only have my iPhone so not sure about blipping.........could always back blip later......
