Engaging Rant Drive in 3, 2, 1...

Text from Yummy Mummy this morning - 30 seconds after the train pulled out - to say that her rear tyre looked a bit flat last night. This will be the subject of a completely separate rant!

So, got home, grabbed her car keys and set off down the road to the garage to pump it up as there was no sign of something stuck in the tyre. At the garage I found a brand spanking new compressor unit, with water supply, integrated vacuum and a slot to put a euro in! Since when do you have to bring your sodding wallet to inflate a bloody tyre? And to add insult to injury, your euro only gets you 5 minutes, with a helpful countdown clock to tell you how much time you have left... A few more trips like this and I'll be able to get that job in the McLaren pit crew!

Sod this for a game of soldiers; I'll go to the Maxol on Duleek Street. They didn't have a super-duper new three-in-one unit. Instead, they had one of those locks you get on supermarket trolleys. But not one that takes a coin! Instead you have to go and buy a token for E2, and when you've finished, you lock it all up, bring back the token and get E1 back...

Goin' to hell in a hand basket, I tell ya!

So anyway, a nice blip of a fully inflated tyre at 25 psi! We'll wait and see how it holds up...
