November arrives
November has arriven, and thus the month of never-ending birthdays that is October has passed. Today was also the last day of half-term for the kids, and Mrs G was determined to make the most of it and made us up a picnic to go travelling to our friends in Ironbridge.
And so, at dinnertime off we drove off into a wonderful Autumn fog.
"This is madness" cried I, but she held firm to the belief that blue skies would prevail, and I went along with it for the pure comedy of driving through thick fog in November in order to have a picnic.
And lo and behold, through some miracle it happened that in Ironbridge, one part was in fog, and one part actually had clear blue skies. Apparently the iPhone weather app had predicted 50% sunshine, and in a clearly literal sense, it was bang on.
And thus, despite driving through what can best be described as a scene from a Stephen King horror movie, we sat and had a picnic in the sun.
Love you Mrs G. Ya fruitcake.
